Pegasus Coffee House opened in 1980 as the first coffee house on Bainbridge Island establishing a friendly place about 30 minutes by ferry from downtown Seattle WA. He had been turned on to specialty coffee at Alfred Peets Coffee in Berkeley CA in the late 60s not knowing that some 15 years later Peet would become his mentor in the coffee business.

Designed in the classic European Coffee House tradition our Bainbridge location has long been a friendly if somewhat bohemian place to gather for outstanding coffee. This new quick-service coffee bar will operate out of a converted 1950s Boles Areo trailer serving grab-and-go food hot and cold coffee and espresso beverage classics similar to its original Bainbridge Island location the Pegasus Coffee. Opens tomorrow at 7am. The building is covered in ivy making it a very instagrammable spot to enjoy a cup of caffeine.
